Senior Project Controls Scheduler – Plainfield, Indiana

ReNuke Services is seeking a Senior Project Controls Scheduler to support project controls activities at a client site in Plainfield, Indiana. This is a long-term, full-time contract position with a 3-year initial assignment and a hybrid work arrangement requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Controls Scheduler is an expert-level position within the Project Controls classification. This role is responsible for complex project scheduling, change documentation, cost control, reporting, and schedule development and maintenance. The successful candidate will have advanced Primavera P6 experience, strong project controls expertise, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. This position supports high-volume, complex projects, including projects classified as White and above within the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix, typically ranging from $100 million to greater than $500 million.

The Senior Project Controls Scheduler will also provide guidance and training to other members of the Project Controls organization and interact with project teams, suppliers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of reporting systems for project controls assignments.
  • Perform complex project scheduling, change documentation, and cost control activities.
  • Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Work with project teams to obtain information required to build and update project schedules.
  • Lead schedule review meetings.
  • Report project controls information at the program or portfolio level.
  • Apply expert-level project controls principles and project management concepts.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight and broad latitude for unreviewed work.
  • Provide training and guidance to other members of the Project Controls organization.
  • Collaborate with project teams and individuals across organizations with varying levels of experience and maturity.
  • Interact with external suppliers and vendors.
  • Apply computer applications and analytics to support project controls activities.
  • Support complex, high-volume projects with significant project controls requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical studies, or equivalent; or
  • Minimum of 11 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera P6 in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera P6 when the degree requirement is met.
  • Expert knowledge of project controls principles.
  • Expertise/mastery of project management and project controls concepts, computer applications, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using Primavera P6 as a scheduling software.
  • Strong collaborative team skills and demonstrated ability to provide oversight and employee development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business, finance, project management, or equivalent.
  • PMI or AACE certification, including:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with software such as:
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Primavera

    • Maximo
    • PeopleSoft
    • Risk management tools

Schedule and Work Requirements

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Initial Assignment: 3 years
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Office Requirement: 3 days per week in the office
  • Typical Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4 x 10 schedule
  • Candidates who need to relocate may be considered and must be willing to relocate at their own expense.
  • Candidates requiring relocation should be prepared to communicate their anticipated relocation timeframe.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
